Frequently asked questions.

What should I bring to class with me?

Just yourself, a water bottle, yoga mat, and towel.

Need to rent a mat? We have high-quality Manduka mats available for rental ($3). Mat rental is always free for your first visit.

We do not sell plastic water bottles but do have a filtered water fountain with a bottle filling station plus Intent Hot Yoga stainless steel water bottles for purchase!

Bath and hand towels are available for rent for our shower facility or class

What should I wear?

Classes are heated between 80-99 degrees, so you’ll want to make sure you wear clothes that are comfortable, breathable, and easy to move in. No shoes or socks are allowed in the studio space. For Yin and Restorative classes, you may bring in a layer for extra comfort during savasana.

I’m new to yoga, can I come to all the classes?

Yes! All classes offered are all levels, with plenty of options to modify throughout class. If there is any concern with the more dynamic pace of a Power Vinyasa class, it may be best to start with one of our Vinyasa, Vinyasa + Yin, or Yin classes. We have any props you may need to best support your body practice.

See our class descriptions here for more info.

Do I need to pre-register for class?

Pre-registration is required to attend class.

We recommend creating a login on the MindBody app before your first visit, where you can see the most updated schedule, book classes, sign our waiver, and make membership and class package purchases.

What kinds of payments do you accept?

We are a cash-free studio and only accept debit/credit cards online or in-studio.

Are there shower facilities?

Yes. We have one shower facility for students to use before or after class. We kindly ask if someone else is waiting for the shower, to limit your shower time to ~3 minutes.

What are infrared heaters?

Our studio is equipped with state-of-the-art infrared heaters by Heating Green, a local business here in Bellingham. Infrared is not only more energy efficient, it is very therapeutic! The infrared heating panels don’t heat the air, it warms our bodies, much like when you are standing outside in the sun. Unlike forced air or gas heaters, infrared radiant heating panels do not blow dust or allergens, or release any emissions, chemicals or pollutants and help keep the air in the studio clean and clear. Our heaters penetrate and warm beneath the skin and can offer therapeutic relief by increasing blood circulation, rid the body of toxins and provide pain relief. Studies show that infrared heat makes connective tissue more flexible, permits greater joint movement, and brings about increased levels of endorphins, which eases pain.

Is there an age requirement for heated classes?

Students must be at least 16 years old to practice in the heated classes and we require a parent/guardian signature in studio prior to taking class for any student under 18.

Where can I park?

There is also ample free parking on Broadway. We also highly encourage those who can, to ride their bike or walk to the studio. We have two bike racks on the Broadway side open to Intent students only.
